Day 22: Praying for His Emotions
Dear Lord, I pray for my husband’s emotions. When life is full of troubles and he feels helpless, anxious, worried, angry, jealous, or __________, I pray that he turns to you for help. I know that You know about his pain and you are aware of how distressed he is… remind him of Your faithfulness so he will be happy and rejoice in You (Ps 31:7).
Be his helper and deliverer (Ps 40:7). Help him rely completely on You, Lord. Turn toward him, hear his cry. Lift him out of the watery pit, out of the slimy mud, and set his feet on a rock with secure footing. Give him a reason to sing a new song, praising You. Then I pray that many will see what You have done in his life and put their trust in You as well. (Ps 40:1-3)
Do not make friends with an angry person,
and do not associate with a wrathful person,
lest you learn his ways
and entangle yourself in a snare.
Prov 22:24-25
I will be happy and rejoice in your faithfulness,
because you notice my pain and you are aware of how distressed I am
Ps 31:7
I am oppressed and needy! May the Lord pay attention to me!
You are my helper and my deliverer! O my God, do not delay!
Ps 40:17
I relied completely on the Lord, and he turned toward me and heard my cry for help.
He lifted me out of the watery pit, out of the slimy mud.
He placed my feet on a rock and gave me secure footing.
He gave me reason to sing a new song, praising our God.
May many see what God has done, so that they might swear allegiance to him and trust in the Lord!
Ps 40:1-3
