As mentioned in a previous post, I wanted to make sure we filled our Easter baskets with Jesus this year, so to speak. Here’s one step I’m taking.
Easter Lapbooks
For the next 3 weeks, with my 6 and 9 year old boys we will:
- Read 2-3 chapters/day in the Jesus Storybook Bible, starting in the New Testament. With a few days off for field trips and such, we should finish in no-time. (This is good, by the way, because I never have finished it… so I didn’t want to start at the beginning again.) 🙂
- Complete a lapbook activity from this free site that matches whatever it is we read. She has so many great resources! He whole website looks pretty amazing.
This is a start. I’m still working on other ideas, but at least I’m taking a step in the right direction.
Have you come up with any good ideas yet for your family?
Michelle (my wife) has made an eBook called Steps to the Cross which has activities for celebrating Easter. It is available through her store at teachersnotebook.com for $3.50.
The URL to the product is http://www.teachersnotebook.com/product/joyfulheart/steps-to-the-cross
Thank you, Chris! I love what Michelle puts together. I’ll check it out! 🙂
